University of Peradeniya’s Talent Lab organized Peer Experience Sharing Session "Business Pitching"
The event was organized October 09, 2021. It was a session on sharing the business idea pitching experience obtained by trainees of the INNOTAL project (during the Business Idea Competition). The young people shared the experiences with other students who were getting ready to participate in a pitching event on social entrepreneurship proposals.
The BLII-TTO of the university organized a social entrepreneurship business idea pitching event with the help of Lanka Impact Investing Network, the Sri Lanka’s First Impact Investing Company to promote social entrepreneurship in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Proposals were called and screened by an expert panel and a few of them were selected. The selected groups were guided and trained to improve their proposals to satisfy the requirements of external investors under the Social Enterprise Support Sri Lanka Project.
The INNOTAL trainees from Peradeniya and especially those who participated in the INNOTAL final business pitching competition were invited to conduct an experience sharing session with the selected group. Two INNOTAL trainee groups made presentations and then a discussion was held to help the new teams. The event had around 20 participants.
