The Talent Lab at Pokhara University organized webinar “Redrawing Women Entrepreneurship in Tourism”

The training for around 60 participants took place March 27, 2021. It covered the following topics:
  • Women Entrepreneurship in Tourism, Kaski, including the case study of Chhetri sisters, a scenario of tourism entrepreneurship in Nepal, the Global Report on Women in Tourism and SDG No 5, 2020 Annual Research key highlights and the opportunity for women in tourism
  • Prospects and Challenges of Tourism in New Normal, including the Recent pandemic and its impacts on tourism, UNWTO Tourism Barometer 2020 (World Tourism Barometer), current decline and economic loss in tourism in Nepal, revivals plan in domestic tourism, the Travel now Pay later concept, and different types of tourism (eco tourism, village tourism, homestay tourism, virtual tourism)
  • Emancipation through Tourism Entrepreneurship for Women in Nepal, including self-dependence through tourism, barriers and support mechanism for entrepreneurship, and the entrepreneurship pathway experienced by Nepalese women.
