RKU organized Innovation & Start-up Opportunities in Defence - Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (in collaboration with iDEX - Innovation for Defence Excellence and Student Startup & Innovation Policy - SSIP Government of Gujarat)

RK University Rajkot celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav by organizing a Virtual Roadshow “Innovation & Startup Opportunities in Defence” in collaboration with iDEX - Innovation for Defence Excellence and Student Startup & Innovation Policy - SSIP Government of Gujarat. The virtual program was focused on how young talents can contribute towards the nation. It took place September 22, 2021.
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Denish Patel, Executive Vice President of RK University. Next speech was given by Mr. Sayanand Sharma - PE DIO elaborating the scope of startups and innovative ideas in the field of defence. iDEX–DIO with the primary objective of self-reliance and indigenization in the Defence & aerospace sector of the country bolsters the “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan” of the Government. Mr. Sharma also briefed about the scheme of the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, to be implemented through DIO, with budgetary support.
