Final dissemination event organized by RK University, India
RK University organized a final dissemination event on August 12, 2021, as part of a virtual event of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat. 83 external representatives of industry, business, academia and start-ups participated.
CII Gujarat held a virtual session on the topic “Innovation Pyramid: Industry, Academia and Start Ups”. The event was organised in collaboration of RK University, which used it to promote the results and impact of the INNOTAL project to a wide and relevant audience.
The main objective of this event was to bring the three components of Innovation Pyramid (Industry, Academia and Start-ups) on the same platform and create synergy going forward. There are several industry related problems that can be opportunities for start-ups and academia can support by providing their R&D facilities and expert faculty guidance. The invited speakers represented various reputed industries and academia. They shared their experience and views on developing a robust innovation ecosystem. The RKU project team was among the speakers of the event.
Dr. Nilesh Kalani gave a presentation about the Talent Co-creation Lab established at RK University. He also updated the participants about the Open Research E-Lab of INNOTAL project. The RKU team led the academic community panel and there were stimulating discussions about the innovation ecosystem development initiatives already taken and about what can be done further to take industry-business knowledge flows to the next level.
One of the key takeaways from the event was that there is untapped potential in initiatives focused on using resources from academic Institutions and taking capital form market and multiplying it to generate assets.
